Scale-up & pilot development

Scale the proof.
Build the industrial form.

PoliNb⁴¹ is moving from controlled laboratory evidence toward a repeatable material form that can be processed, characterized and evaluated through industrially relevant gates.

41
Industrial readiness is earned through evidence. Each scale-up gate must make the next decision clearer.
Why scale-up matters

A promising compound still has to survive the process.

The next development question is not simply whether niobium can be incorporated. It is whether the material can move through feeding, extrusion, pelletization, molding and reprocessing with enough repeatability to justify the next gate.

The objective is a controlled industrial material form — not a premature claim of finished product performance.
01

Feedability

Understand how the concentrate behaves during handling, feeding, drying and controlled transfer into processing equipment.

02

Extrusion window

Identify a practical operating window for shear, temperature, residence time and material flow without exposing confidential conditions.

03

Pellet quality

Evaluate whether the output can be converted into a consistent intermediate form suitable for storage, transport and downstream use.

04

Independent evidence

Generate qualified characterization and retained samples that distinguish an observation from a repeatable development result.

Stage-gated development path

From laboratory evidence to an industrial material form.

The sequence below is a development logic, not a promise of final performance. Each stage exists to reduce a specific technical uncertainty before additional resources are committed.

Gate 01 / Current

Define the compound

Confirm the material question, retained samples, decision criteria and the next controlled experiment.

Gate 02 / Current

Prepare the concentrate

Establish a controlled carrier/niobium material form for repeatable laboratory handling and evaluation.

Gate 03 / Next

Extrude & pelletize

Test feeding, melt processing, output stability and a practical intermediate form under qualified conditions.

Gate 04 / Next

Mold & characterize

Prepare specimens or plaques and connect processing history to independent material characterization.

Gate 05 / Future

Validate pilot readiness

Review quality, traceability, packaging, repeatability and the evidence required for a pilot-development proposal.

A focused technical relationship

Scale-up works best when the question is clear.

We prefer stage-gated collaborations with a defined technical question, clear sample ownership and a documented review point.

A partner may contribute

  • Equipment access or qualified laboratory time
  • Processing expertise and engineering hours
  • Materials, consumables and sample preparation
  • Independent analytical or validation capability
  • Pilot-manufacturing infrastructure and quality systems

The relationship may provide

  • A defined scope and decision gate
  • Milestone reviews and retained development evidence
  • Technical access under NDA when justified
  • Participation in future co-development discussions
  • Commercial structures only when separately negotiated and documented
